{ Ashley & Jonathan }

I met the Miller family at our church.  So when Lil Miller asked if she and her daughter Ashley could set up a consultation to be the photographer at Ashley’s wedding, I was so excited!

Ashley is simply gorgeous and we had so much fun before, during and after her wedding!  We did her bridal portraits at the Marion Hatcher Center, where her wedding and reception took place, as well as we took a few down at Hammonds Ferry!

Ashley and her groom, Jonathan did a “First Look” meeting right before the wedding, this way they could get all the portraits done before the wedding and were able to enjoy some special time before their wedding…just the two of them! This special time between the bride and groom always makes my heart flutter – it is always so sweet and romantic!

It also allows you to then take all the portraits before the wedding of the bridal party, family members etc…. and you can enjoy more of your reception once married!

For weddings and receptions, I love working with a second photographer to capture all those sweet moments between the bride, groom and their guests! Thank you to Michelle Williams of Williams Photography for helping be my partner in crime with capturing the memories!! Visit  www.MaryBethsPhotography.info

{ Katie & Patrick - a Love Story }

Last October, I had the pleasure of capturing all the special moments at Katie and Patrick’s wedding in North Augusta.  I was so excited when a photographer in their family referred this fabulous couple to me.

Ironically enough, I had gone to a fabulous consignment shop in town and when chatting with the owner about my business she mentioned she needed a photographer for her daughters' upcoming wedding. I realized that Katie had already scheduled an appointment with me for a consultation for the next week! It is amazing how things happen in life!!

In a really neat idea, right before their wedding and in a way to keep tradition, Patrick was blindfolded so that the couple was able to talk to each other and exchange gifts without the groom seeing the bride before she walked down the aisle.

And what a beautiful bride she was, but don’t mess with this softball player!  When Katie threw her bouquet, it was thrown so hard that the bouquet hit the ceiling and landed on the floor.

Two things that I will always remember from this lovely couple’s wedding were seeing how their church hall had been transformed with décor that matched their wedding theme – it was amazing how fabulous everything looked.

The second reason is why I always keep Benadryl with me on photo shoots!  Katie and Patrick had a few uninvited guests during our outdoor portraits in the form of yellow jackets!  No one was stung, thankfully!

I love being asked to photograph a wedding and I will only take on 1-2 weddings per month so that I am able to give my clients the high-end experience they deserve!  I love to pamper my clients!  www.MaryBethsPhotography.info
