I can hardly believe that this little guy is going to be one! My how the year has flown by!! It have been such a pleasure working with Luke's family and getting to know them! My clients become like family to me! Luke's family is big into biking and in fact his dad works at a local bike shop in town. So, we thought it was appropriate to do a bicycle theme for his cake smash!! How fun!! Poor Luke was not that much into his cake, but we did get some cute shots anyways!!

Augusta Ga Newborn Photographer II Riley's 2 Year Old Portraits Sneak Peek

I cannot believe that this little girl who I took newborn portraits of is now 2 years old!! Time seems to go so quickly these days. I am always happy to see this wonderful family and sweet Riley! They drove all the way from Savannah to have portraits made of their sweet little girl! I feel blessed to have clients like the Mauney's! Enjoy this fun session we did down at Hammond's Ferry! The weather was perfect for our session....wish it would stay like this all summer!!

{ Kaylee's Adorable Cake Smash! }

Kaylee was scheduled to visit my studio for her Cake Smash portrait session when I got a call from her Mom that Kaylee was sick… Oh boy… do I know that story – being a Mom with three little ones of my own! 

Ironically enough, part of the reason why I keep my schedule so structured with the number of sessions I book is to help work around situations just like this!  When Kaylee’s session happened, we had so much fun with her owl-themed Cake Smash session.  

Amanda Bell of ABB Bakery made the adorable customized owl cake.  I was able to prepare the session, because Kaylee’s mom sent me picture texts of her outfits and the banner she had made.  

I love to pamper my clients and I loved being able to pamper Kaylee’s family in a super special way – Kaylee’s portraits wouldn’t be done in time for Father’s Day, so I created a special Father’s Day email card.   What other special ways could I pamper my clients?

{ Sweet Bralyn is One! }

The truth is that sweet Bralyn has had a rough year with a bunch of medical issues involving eating, but what a long way she has come!! 

I was so excited when her Mom called me for Bralyn’s one year portraits, especially since I knew this was going to be a custom session. Bralyn’s Mom is extremely talented; she crochets and made the outfits and the tutu for Bralyn. 

It was so much fun to stylize her session, especially since the theme was cupcakes. I made a banner out of… colored napkins – an inexpensive way to make a session or banner unique. Bralyn’s Mom values really good portraits, so we knew that we had a perfect match – especially with all the options I have for ordering elegant and quality portraits.

Bralyn was cleared to dive into the cake that her Mom brought and we knew she was having fun, but didn't realize just how much until we tried to take the cake away and she screamed! 

The cherry onto of the “cake” for me was when I was able to snap a few portraits of Bralyn with her Mom. We Moms are always behind the camera; it is so important to document time with our children.  www.MaryBethsPhotography.info

{ Edie is ONE! }

I cannot even believe that Edie is already one!!!  And those beautiful eyes have continued to be the most beautiful, expressive eyes I have ever seen on a child! 

It seems like just yesterday she was a newborn and we had started taking her portraits for the fabulous plan her parents purchased, “First Year Moments”.   In this plan, Edie’s family purchased portraits of her as a newborn, at 6 months, 9 months and a 1 year cake smash session. 

For the "First Year Moments" plan, they will receive an 8x10 linen portrait from each session, all the digital images on a flash drive or CD and at the end of the year they will choose between a custom designed 10 x 20 storyboard with their favorite images from the year or a custom image box with 10 of their favorite images mounted on a linen textured board, which comes complete with an easel.

{ Ella's Cake Smash Session }

Ok, I admit it… I LOVE one-year-old portrait sessions, specifically the “Cake Smash Session”!!  

I know it is partly the anticipation of what a one-year-old will do with a HUGE cake in front of them and I swear listening to parents encouraging their children to devour the cake gets me laughing every time.  

When Ella joined me in my studio for her “Cake Smash Session”, I knew we would have a blast!  Ella is the granddaughter of one of the secretaries at my children’s school and the whole family is just as sweet as can be!

Ella’s Mom brought some things to the session and spoke to me about her ideas so that I was also able to help customize the session to have the portraits come out as they were hoping they would.  And sweet Ella didn't disappoint!

{ Madeline is One! }

Happy First Birthday Madeline Ayres!  Can you even take all the cuteness?  I was so excited to have Madeline visit my studio for her Smash the Cake session to celebrate her one year birthday!  

Using natural light, studio lights, a pink backdrop and my white wicker chair, Madeline was the start of the show and a true delight to take portraits of and celebrate her big day.

{ Lovebug Skylar }

I just love portrait sessions with Skylar.  

Since she was born, I have been fortunate enough to capture such important milestones in her life and this session was no different.  

This very active one-year-old is as cute as a button.  We met at Brick Pond Park and were able to visit different parts of the park, which was important, because this little lovebug is walking and always on the go.

{ Skylar Turns ONE! A Full Circle of Portraits! }

I can not believe that Skylar is one!!!  

I also can not believe how lucky I have been to capture her on this first year journey of life.  When I first met Skylar, she was a newborn.  

Her Mom decided to use me to do a full year of portraits, capturing important milestones - newborn, six months and one year.  

 

As the final round of the three, we did “three-in-one” - “Smash the Cake”, “Christmas”, and “One Year”.  Well, Skylar was as cute as ever and one of the best babies I have ever photographed.   

As a studio session, we had a few outfit changes for Skylar and had to rinse her from head to toe after her “Smash the Cake” session - she didn’t know what to think of the cake and didn’t eat a whole lot.
