{ Christmas Surprise To: Mrs. Jeffcoat, Love: Mr. Jeffcoat }

I just love surprises!!  I just love those fabulous moments when you are taken away by the love that someone has for you and I love being on the other side of creating that special moment that reminds someone how much they are loved!  And so was my meeting with Mitch Jeffcoat…

He wanted to surprise his wife with portraits of their children, as they hadn’t had portraits in a really long time.

We went to Hammond’s Ferry on an overcast day, wondering if we were even going to get the portraits done… but it all worked out and what a wonderful surprise Mitch’s wife received on Christmas morning!!  Did I say it yet??  I LOVE SURPRISES!!!

Thank you Mitch for letting me be a part of this super sweet surprise moment!!  www.MaryBethsPhotography.info

{ Silly Fun for Everyone }

Millie Robinson and I have been in the same Mother’s Club for years.  I had so much fun taking her family’s portraits last year and was so looking forward to capturing her family again.

We headed to Hammond’s Ferry and I brought one of my couches.  The Robinson boys are so silly and so cute and didn’t disappoint on this session.

What a compliment they gave me by putting their favorite portrait on a Christmas Card... and even better... they ordered Christmas Cards from me, along with a variety of individual portraits, as well.

It is never too early to get ready prepared for Christmas portraits, so make sure to book your appointments early!!  www.MaryBethsPhotography.info

{ A Fun Christmas Portrait Session }

Suzanne and I have gotten to know each other over the last couple of months, because she has helped me keep my house in tip top shape while I am working ( truly a gift from GOD!!).

It was a joy to have her sons in my studio for a Christmas session with a fun Christmas tree.

Her boys are just adorable and her youngest, Whit, just turned 1. Thanks Suzanne for all your help and for sharing your sweet boys with me!!  www.MaryBethsPhotography.info

{ A Familiar Location for A Fabulous Christmas Gift }

The Holley Family is a gracious family... opening their "stable doors" to my profession... theirs is the home that was the beautiful backdrop to a recent portrait session in front of the horse stables.

I was honored when the Holley Family asked me to capture a family portrait while their whole family was in town.

What a thoughtful and fabulous Christmas gift.  The family gathered - the parents, their two daughters, a fiance, a husband and children and we took portraits on their beautiful property, near the stables and their stream.

Can't you just feel the love?  www.MaryBethsPhotography.info

{ A Fabulous Christmas Gift from the Koss Girls }

What started out as a session to do Senior Portraits turned into a fabulous gift idea from the Koss Girls for their parents.

Katherine, who babysits for our children and Claire are just beautiful girls and when they asked if we could head to Hammond's Ferry for a surprise Christmas gift portrait session for their parents... I was so excited.

They blew their Mom away with what she found under the Christmas tree!

Thank you Katherine and Clare for letting me take part in your beautiful gift.  www.MaryBethsPhotography.info

{ Watching the Toney Boys Grow }

I have been taking portraits of the Toney family since Nolan was 6 months old.  Look at him now... 4 years old!!

I have loved watching the boys grow up since meeting Amy in Mother’s Club so many years ago.  Life has changed for us... as it always does.

Amy and her family have moved out near Greenbrier and I had a fabulous time taking the portraits at a pond area near Greenbrier Elementary School, right near their subdivision and their new home.

Over Christmas break, they moved into their new home and it is just precious.  Thanks Toney Family- You are always such a fabulous family to photograph!!  www.MaryBethsPhotography.info

{ Skylar Turns ONE! A Full Circle of Portraits! }

I can not believe that Skylar is one!!!

I also can not believe how lucky I have been to capture her on this first year journey of life.  When I first met Skylar, she was a newborn.

Her Mom decided to use me to do a full year of portraits, capturing important milestones - newborn, six months and one year.

As the final round of the three, we did “three-in-one” - “Smash the Cake”, “Christmas”, and “One Year”.  Well, Skylar was as cute as ever and one of the best babies I have ever photographed.

As a studio session, we had a few outfit changes for Skylar and had to rinse her from head to toe after her “Smash the Cake” session - she didn’t know what to think of the cake and didn’t eat a whole lot.

I was so happy to present to Skylar’s family a storyboard, showing their beautiful girl over the last year.  www.MaryBethsPhotography.info

Energy, Energy, Energy!!!

Energy, energy, energy... that is the name of the game with the Frey Family.  Joanne and Lars contacted me based on the recommendation of another client, the Ayres Family.

What a wonderful family the Frey Family is!!  Their twins, Emma and Isabelle were filled with so much energy - Hmmm... in hindsight, maybe I shouldn't have given two three-year-old girls "lollipops"!!!  :)

We met at Hammonds Ferry on a beautiful evening and our session was on the go, with quick location changes, different outfits and lots of different poses, were got a bunch of portraits done in a really fast amount of time!

I was so happy to be able to take portraits for Lars and Joanne to send to their families in Austria and South Africa!  www.MaryBethsPhotography.info

Merry Christmas

This time of year always finds me - no matter if gifts are purchased and wrapped, no matter if the tree is trimmed, the lights are up and there are cookies ready for Santa.

This year also always finds me... reflecting on the many Christmases of years past - growing up with my family, my first Christmas with my husband, Brett and celebrating each Christmas with our beautiful children.

Yes, this time of year always finds me - grateful, happy, filled with the spirit of Christmas and wishing for snow.

Wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas from our home to yours.  www.MaryBethsPhotography.info
