I am starting a brand new series on Fridays called- Fridays Favorite Things!! I want to showcase to my clients and fans some of my favorite things, places and unique specials I have found! So check back each Friday to see something new I found to share with you!
My first favorite thing to share this Friday is my absolute favorite place to be pampered....Spa Go in Aiken, SC. I love their massages, pedicures and gel manicures! I am a firm believer that quality and service are worth the extra money! In essence, you get what you pay for. That is why I love Spa Go, because they give you both excellent quality with their products and employees, as well as fabulous service! They have an elegant feel inside their spa and it has a calm and serene atmosphere! They offer you something to drink- hot tea or water and always have a treat for you on the way out! The employees who work their have been trained professionally and are very kind and caring....this is not just a job to them! They offer a wide variety of services....manicures, pedicures, hair cuts/styling, massages, eyebrow waxing, couples massages, saunas, facials, wraps and many more....
And if you are looking for a Mother's Day gift, they are having a fabulous special- $70 for a massage and manicure!! Your mom will thank you and think you are the best son/daughter she has!! :)

Augusta, GA Child Photographer II Vivian 8 Months Old
Miss Vivian came to visit my all natural light studio yesterday for her 8 month old portraits! What a sweetheart!!! She was very serious, but warmed right up to me with some precious smiles! She was born 6 weeks early, so sitting up has just begin for this sweet girl! This was her next big milestone and I always encourage parents to wait till their child is sitting up for portraits for their 2nd set of portraits!
My recommendation for documenting the 1st year is newborn, 6months, and 1 year! My First Year Moments plan covers all three and includes all digital images, plus other fabulous portrait products!

{ Hammond’s Ferry + The Movius Family = A Perfect Session! }
I can’t even begin to explain how much it means
when I receive a client due to a referral; I firmly believe it is the highest
form of a compliment.
Spencer’s Mom
referred the Movius Family to me this past summer. Their daughter was turning 5 and they wanted
to record this time in their lives with professional portraits.
I always encourage families to do that –
capture this beautiful time with portraits.
The Movius Family and I met at Hammond’s Ferry and I brought my fabulous
red couch.
I love having the opportunity
to speak with families before portraits are taken so that we can discuss
expectations and great ideas! I can also
help figure out clothing and props! www.MaryBethsPhotography.com

{ On-Location Photo Session with an Amazing Family }
The Ayres Family is just so amazing.
I have been doing their portraits for a
number of years and Rose Ayres has been organizing my home through her company
Organized Living; I can’t even believe how she transforms my life in just a few
short hours!
Ryan and Madeline are just
so adorable. We did an on-location
portrait session, which they recommended to me.
I couldn’t believe how scenic the area was in their neighborhood.
Beautiful! I just loved seeing them and
am so thankful for their being in my life.

{Stan Jewelers - a Perfect Business Partnership }
One of my goals this year was to find fabulous businesses in
the area to develop partnerships.
I was
looking for businesses with similar clients, businesses who love to pamper
their clients and businesses with incredible owners who share a similar vision!
I couldn't believe my luck when one of my clients started
raving about Stan Jewelers in North Augusta.
This client bought both their engagement ring and wedding bands from
Stan. I had been looking for a jeweler
to partner with for a long time! I stopped by the store to discuss the
opportunity to become businesses partners.
I learned that Stan had learned his
trade from his Dad and other master jewelers.
Stan’s Dad, Bill Johnson, had started the store in 1982 and Stan bought
the business from his father in 1997.
Stan Jewelers is a full service jewelry store selling unique jewelry and
performing quality repairs.
I am so fortunate to partner with Stan Jewelers! If you purchase your engagement ring at Stan
Jewelers, you will receive a FREE ENGAGEMENT SESSION with me!! If you book a wedding with me, Stan gives you
20% OFF your wedding bands.
I mean,
seriously, if you are getting engaged this holiday season, there is no place to
look than Stan Jewelers!
If you are
thinking about getting a piece of jewelry for someone special this holiday
season, then stop by Stan Jewelers at 605 Edgefield Road, North Augusta, SC and
give them a call 803-279-0776! Stan’s
website is: www.stanjohnsonjewelers.com

{ La Dolce - A Treasure in Aiken }
I am so excited to partner with great businesses and I still
can’t believe that the delicious and wonderful La Dolce in downtown Aiken is
featuring my portraits in their gourmet bakery coffee/tea house!
Lady Kelly MacVean studied in England to
become a tea master and she operates such a wonderful business that opened in
November 2012.
Their treats are so yummy
thanks to Kirstie MacVean, executive pastry chef!
La Dolce provides wonderful unique desserts,
custom wedding and birthday cakes, custom teas, coffees and bread.
They also offer a light lunch. You can even book a tea for you and a group
of friends with Kelly!
So go on down to
Lauren’s Street in downtown Aiken to visit La Dolce and check them out on
Facebook! www.MaryBethsPhotography.info

{ Impressions of the South - Making a BIG Impression! }
I have been
making some great connections with local businesses who share my same sentiment
of pampering our clients! “Impressions
of the South” is owned by a husband and wife team.
Eva Watkins left corporate America to open “Impressions of the South”. Jay Watkins had owned another retail store at this location, but after Jay and Eva got married, they opened “Impressions of the South”.
80% of the items at the store are under $30!! Things move quickly because they purchase new items weekly.
Their handmade chocolates are made in the USA – handmade in Texas.
You can also purchase coffee and tea. It truly feels like you are at home when you are there – well, if being pampered is what happens at your home!!
